Universal Course Expectations (UCEs) for all content areas.
Common assessments to track progress and inform instruction.
Supporting every learner, including multilingual learners and students with disabilities.
Accelerating learning and opening more opportunities for every student.
Dear Dartmouth Families & Community,
At Dartmouth Middle School, we are committed to ensuring that every student has access to a rigorous, high-quality education and the opportunity to succeed.
One of our major instructional priorities is establishing Universal Course Expectations (UCEs) across all content areas — identifying the essential standards every student should know and be able to do, regardless of which teacher or course section they have.
Beginning in January 2027, our teachers will engage in focused curriculum alignment work to identify these essential standards, align instruction, and develop common assessments that help us measure student learning and respond quickly when students need additional support or greater challenge.
This work is especially important as we strive to accelerate learning and close achievement gaps for all our students, including multilingual learners and students with disabilities.
We Need Our Community's Partnership
Meaningful curriculum alignment requires dedicated time, professional expertise, collaboration, and resources — and we need your help to fund this important work. Your donation will directly support our teachers as they work together to create a stronger, more consistent instructional program for every Dartmouth student.
This is more than an investment in curriculum — it's an investment in our students, our teachers, and the future of Dartmouth Middle School. Every contribution, regardless of amount, moves us closer to our goal.
Thank you for investing in our Eagles!
Sincerely,
Germán Cerda, Proud Principal
