"While we all hope that our children will do well in school, we hope with even greater fervor that they will do well in life.
Our job is to help them know and appreciate themselves deeply, to be resilient in the face of adversity, to approach the world with zest, to find work that is satisfying, friends and spouses who are loving and loyal, and to hold a deep belief that they have something meaningful to contribute to the world."

- Madeline Levine, PhD, Author

School Counseling Mission Statement:

The mission statement of the school counseling program is to ensure a safe and supportive environment in which all students acquire the knowledge, skills, and attitudes needed for academic, career, and personal/social development to become lifelong learners, creative thinkers, and responsible individuals. *

*adapted from CA Dept.of Education – School Counseling and Student Support Guidelines

As school counselor, I am dedicated to working with students, staff, and families to promote student success in their personal, social, academic, and career development. I encourage students to come talk to me regarding any issue that’s on their mind. Some of the things that are offered to help students through the middle school years include: individual counseling, educational support groups, and classroom guidance.

Please see the rest of my web site, which includes information on Social-Emotional Learning, tips for academic success, parent resources, counseling links, and more.
