Message to the Dartmouth Community

March 22, 2022

Dear Dartmouth Families,

I am honored to announce that Mr. Randy Martino has accepted a districtwide leadership role that will focus on student wellness and community engagement across Union School District.

Mr. Martino is a caring and committed leader and has been a part of the USD leadership team for 18 years, the last ten as Dartmouth’s principal. He exemplifies a leader who knows each child, connects with families and champions for the success and wellness of each student. Given Mr. Martino’s long standing meaningful relationships within our USD community, this role will continue to build upon these partnerships in support of our students and schools districtwide.

These past couple years of change and uncertainty have reinforced that our students’ wellbeing is key to their success and personal growth. As our district continues to build upon supports and resources that focus on the needs of the whole child, I am looking forward to Mr. Martino taking on this role and connecting students and families with broader community resources.

As to the next steps in identifying the next dedicated Dartmouth Principal, we will be conducting a rigorous search and interview process for a highly qualified candidate to start July 1, 2022. As part of the interview and selection process, we would like to ensure we gather your perspective as a Dartmouth parent or guardian as to the essential characteristics for the next principal at Dartmouth. Your insight will help throughout the process as we are committed to finding the best individual to join the wonderful Dartmouth community.

Thank you in advance for your participation.  As we move forward, we will continue to keep you informed as we move forward in the search for Dartmouth’s next great leader. Please join me in congratulating Mr. Martino as he continues to make connections for our students and families across Union School District.

Kind Regards,

Dr. Carrie Andrews
Superintendent
