MakerSpace (6th-8th)
MakerSpace is an after school club that meets on Thursdays from 3:00-4:15. The goal of the club is to introduce students to different topics in STEAM (we include the arts in this club). Students are placed in small groups (3-12) and then meet to learn and do. Topics range from typical STEM topics such as website design and programming to crocheting, cooking and woodworking. Each session lasts four weeks which gives the students time to complete a project. Sessions are led by adults or high school students eager to share their skills with others.
This club is slated to begin second semester but is dependent on the current school COVID protocols and the availability of people willing to come in and instruct. . Announcements will be made at school and in the school newsletter when/if the club will occur.
